Personal History | Victoria was born in 2347 to Yasar and Mia Drani. She was the youngest of three children. Victoria's father and mother were both lawyers and often quizzed their children on interstellar law or debate about a topic that was on going. Victoria did well throughout school and through her telepathy training, where it was discovered that Victoria possessed the rare betazoid ability of telekinesis, rating her as a powerful telepath by the Betazed Institute of Telepathy Training. She graduated and felt she wanted to aid the sick and injured. She was offered to attend the Betazed School of Medicine. While there, she again did well, graduating with honors in 2368. She was offered a junior instructor position at the Betazed School of Medicine, but she turned it down because she wanted to get out and explore the galaxy. Later that year, she applied to and was accepted into Starfleet Academy, where she decided to major in Internal Medicine. Again, she did well mainly due to her upbringing and her professors were impressed with her intellectual prowess. During a cadet cruise a near transporter accident while transporting from the USS Intrepid to Olympus Mons Base on Mars frightened her of transporters to which she never fully recovered from. This caused her grades to slip from loss of sleep. She still managed to graduate from Starfleet Academy in 2372 in the top ten percent of her graduating class. Her first assignment was the USS John F. Kennedy as a Medical Officer. During the Dominion war, the USS John F. Kennedy was assigned to the Tenth Fleet to defend Betazed in 2374. The Kennedy was lost in the battle but Drani managed to escape in an escape pod and landed on Betazed. During her time on the surface, she met up with the Betazoid Resistance Group and used her abilities to fight the Dominion Troops. She refuses to talk about what happened while she was fighting with the resistance, however, her father died in the attack on Betazed. Her second assignment was Starbase 221 as a Assistant Chief of Medicine in 2375. Eight years later, the commander of the base decided against helping a pre-warp society deal with a deadly virus. The virus wiped out the population and the incident was classified by Starfleet as Drani was simply forced to watch it happen through long range sensor scans of the planet. In protest, she angrily resigned her commission from Starfleet and seemed to disappear from Starfleet's radar screen. | |
