Strike Policy

Created by Captain Vorn Krace on Sun Jan 22nd, 2012 @ 2:36am

The USS Iapetus runs a three strike policy in order to maintain good behaviour and standards onboard the sim. Where possible, strikes will be avoided, but they will be used if the situation deems it necessary.

Stage 1
The first stage in this disciplinary process is not actually a strike, but an official warning. Such a warning will be entered into the player's permanent record. A Stage 1 warning will be 'cleared' if no further action has been taken on the player for 6 weeks, but the warning notice will remain on the service record.

Stage 2
Stage 2 will see the first strike being issued on the Nova system. Stikes will be 'cleared' after 8 weeks if no further action is taken on the player, but the note will remain on the service record.

Stage 3
Stage 3 will see the second strike issued, which will be accompanied by a demotion in rank and/or position. Stikes will be 'cleared' after 8 weeks if no further action is taken on the player, but the note will remain on the service record.

Stage 4
Stage 4 will see the third and final strike issued. This is the final stage, and if any officer, warrant, rating or civilian on the Iapetus received a third strike, then they will be removed from the sim.

This policy will be applied where the command staff of the sim sees fit, and will be issued on the Commanding Officer's authority. If any officer disagrees with being issued a warning or a strike, then they may file an appeal with Bravo Fleet JAG.
