Wandering Thoughts

Mission: Dark Discoveries
Location: Jade's Quarters/ Sickbay

Jade sat silently in her quarters staring at the stars out of the window. She was the lowest ranking crewmember on board and she was still upset at losing her comrad on the runabout. She had noticed that some of the crew had been rather anxious lately. She had hardly see anything of the captain or the senior officers, even the chief medical officer had been too busy to assign her anything to do.

"I wonder what is going on" she said quietly to herself. She looked at the small empty room that she had been hiding away for in for some time now. She knew that she had to get out and fidn out what happening, the truth was that she felt a little shy. To her it was a lost schoolchild asking the military for directions and she had no idea how to face it. Rising to her feet she crossed the small room and opened the door, the corridor outside was empty and the yellow alert lights flashed slowly.

Making her way to sickbay she walked in and started to look around. She saw the CMO in her office and other ofifcers wandering around.
"I need something to do" she said to herself as she approached the assistance CMO.
"Can I have something to do sir?" she asked.
"Oh right, well you can help with these hyposprays" he said handing them. She looked down at them. Cleaning hyposprays, what a great job... NOT. She was doing more exciting stuff back at the academy, however she was no where near San francisco now and she had to accept that she had at least something to do.

Her mind kept wandering from topic to topic as she sterlised them, what was the crew doing and why were all outgoing communications down and where were they going. She started to wonder if the captain really knew what he was doing.
