	Main Bridge		The main centre of ship operations, the bridge serves as the point from which the commanding officer manages the operation of the vessel along with the other bridge officers.
	Captain's Ready Room		The ready room is a private office reserved for the commanding officer's use. Here, the commanding officer can engage in administrative work with all relevant office equipment at hand without interfering with bridge operations. In addition, this room is usually the preferred place where the captain can hold private discussions and-or receive classified communicatons. During times or war or heightened combat readiness, this is also usually where the captain will sleep, in order to be just one step away from attending the bridge at all times.
	Observation Lounge		Most commonly utilised as the senior staff's conference room, this area of the ship is used as a meeting place for the ship's seniormost officers as well as special events and gatherings and VIP mission briefings. Some officers go to the observation lounge simply for the view when it is not in use.
	Department Head Offices		Just as the Captain does, department heads need a space to engage in work relating to the running of their department onboard the ship with all relevant office equipment to hand and without interfering with bridge operations. In addition, this room is usually the preferred place where the department head can hold private discussions.
	Main Sickbay		Sickbay is the main medical centre aboard Federation starships, and is presided over by the ship's chief medical officer; a senior doctor in charge of the entire medical staff. This area is occasionally used for certain analyses of new lifeforms the ship might encounter, but its primary function is in the treating of wounds and for developing treatments for diseases and illnesses, some of which may be previously unknown to Federation science.
