An Needle is found

Posted on Sun Sep 6th, 2009 @ 3:41pm by Commander Peter Brown & Captain Vorn Krace

Mission: Into a Devil's Heart
Location: U.S.S Iapteus
Timeline: MD03 1129 hours

William was working on the sensors then he picked up somthing very faint .76 Lightyears from the station which could be an subspace transmission. From his job, he knew it was secured.

"Computer, Decrypt and Display Transcript"

~Working~

==^=="What is it Director..........." Sternly Said Peter

Director:Just make sure you follow your orders, ..............in 72 Hours or your Captain Will be Court Marshalled

"Why threaten my Captain he has done nothing to you

Director:Thats the thing with it. Then I know you will do the deed......==^==

~Computer:End of Transmission~

"Computer, what is the heading of this Transmission"

~Computer:Venteral Headings only. Unable to decrypt other headings.~

"What ventral heading was the vessel that received this on?" William asked. Why did the computer need you to be so specific sometimes?

~Computer: The vessel was on ventral heading 148~

"Captain, Take a look at this" Yelled William

Vorn walked over to the young operations officer as he stepped out of the briefing room, after speaking with Abigail. "What is it?"

"It seems to be a short-burst, encrypted transmission, sir. Sensors picked it up, originating some lightyears away, though the message was actually sent some time ago." Will replied.

"Let me see it." Vorn looked over the operations officer's shoulder as he read the communique. It was only text on the 'Director''s side of the conversation, but he knew from the tags that the computer had transcribed Peter's spoken words into text.

"Lock this in my personal buffer, and copy it to the list of files pertaining to the investigation into Peter. I have a feeling that it's going to be a key clue to finding him." Vorn said, as he walked to sit in his chair.

"Aye Sir" Said William

"You're getting sloppy, Peter." Vorn murmurred to himself. He knew Peter's background, and he knew that under normal circumstances, he would never be careless enough for a secure transmission to be picked up.

"Lock the location which you picked it up from in the database too," Vorn said, after a moment's thought. "We might be able to combine its location with anything we can find out when we get there about his direction of travel, maybe give us more to go on..."
