Getting a Ride

Timeline: MD4 1315hrs (Iapetus), MD4 2015hrs (Starbase)

Tom was sitting in the Messhall when he heard the call. He was tired of all the waiting he has been doing, but now he had the chance to do something he finished his drink and headed down to the shuttlebay. He grabed Shuttle Two, as Shuttle One was being prepared for Lieutennent Commander Brown and the Intelligence Department for some reason. Shortly afterwards, the Vulcan shuttle pilot Agerak stepped inside.

Tom entered the commands into his station and powered up the aft thusters and slowly left the shuttlebay. After this he entered the commands to shutdown the thusters to start impluse engines.
"Okay launch complete, setting course Starbase 218, Warp 4." Said Tom into the shuttles flight log. Then he entered the commands as the shuttle jumped to Warp Speed.
"ETA 7 hours" Agerak reported from his station.

Elizabeth looked up at the door chime. Was Lieutenant Commander Earlond back again? Did that man ever leave people alone? With a sigh, Elizabeth rose and went to the door, vowing this time to be more polite – the man had, after all, saved her son at great personal risk.
When Elizabeth opened the door, however, it was to find a young Ensign. He seemed startled when the door opened, and nervously took a step back. Elizabeth rolled her eyes.
“Yes?†she asked. “What do you want?â€
“I’m sorry to disturb you, ma’am, but your shuttle will be arriving shortly,†the Ensign said. Elizabeth frowned. The ship wasn’t supposed to arrive for another few days, at least.
“Are you sure you have the right person?†Elizabeth asked. “I’m going to the USS Iapetus, which isn’t due back for a long time yet.â€
“Well, ma’am, I was instructed to inform Ms. Narton of the shuttle,†the ensign said. “Apparently, someone got a shuttle called for you. If you’ll follow me, please.â€
Elizabeth grabbed her bags and followed the ensign down towards a shuttlebay, wondering who would have called a shuttle back for a civilian passenger.

Agerak piloted the shuttle into the bay of the Starbase, having taken over this shift of piloting from Crewman Cook, as per the Starfleet procedure he had reminded the Crewman to stick to precisely - in a typical Vulcan manner.
"We have arrived." he stated, incase the Crewman had fallen asleep or stopped paying attension during the long journey.
Stepping out of the Airlock, he bowed his head slightly in respect to the civilian. "Ms. Narton." he said, allowing the ever-so-slightly more senior Crewman to continue, as per protocol.
Tom Steped Forward and Put out his Hand and Smiling at the New Face to Come aboard the Ship
"Ma'am, Crewman Tom Cook, I have been sent by Lieutennent Commander Brown to pick you up, is there anything you need help with before we leave back towards the ship" Asked Tom.
Elizabeth inclined her head politely. "I presume you are my ride to the Iapetus," she said. "Do either of you know why a shuttle was summarily called back for a civilian?"
Tom placed his hands behind his back and smiled slightly then spoke
"I am, sorry Ma'am as an Crewman I am not privy to that information but Lieutennent Commander Brown did sent us you can talk to him once we get back to the ship" Said Tom as he motioned towards the open hatch.
"All that we have been informed of was that we were ordered out by the First Officer on orders of the Captain." Agerak added.
"I suppose we'd all best get going, then," Elizabeth said, picking up her things and heading into the shuttle.
Tom walked into the Shuttle then walked towards the Main Station took and Seat then Entered the Commands to Seal the Hatch.
"Pre-Starting all Systems, thrusters At Station Keeping" Said Tom as he pressed the Comms array

Tom then entered the Commands and fired the Impluse Engines the Shuttle Shook as it slowly left the docking bay towards open space
"Setting Course, Home Warp 7" Said Tom as the Shuttle Jumped to Warp
"Estimated time of arrival is zero-hundred hours, ship clock time." Agerak reported. He'd already been told by his peers prior to assignment on the Iapetus that an ETA is intended only to be a rough guide, and so he opted to ommit the additional 6 minutes, 37 seconds the flight computer informed him the journey would take.
