Visiting Hours

Vorn stepped into sickbay, having heard of the survivor they had brought aboard from the shuttlecraft. He knew well from experience that doctors weren't renowned for their willingness to let COs talk to injured patients, and so the first person he approached was Dr. LaToon.

"Doctor. How's she doing?" He asked.

Annalyn turned as she heard the Captain, "She has a broken arm, a head wound and lost quite a bit of blood. Right now the arm is stablized, we have started replacing the blood, and when she is more stable, I will fix the head wound, and the arm. The Pilot was gone when we got aboard."

Vorn nodded in acknowledgment. "I'd like to have a few moments to talk with her."

"Certainly Sir, but she is fairly heavily sedated right now, to keep her still until I can repair her. I have her in Private Room 10 while we get the blood into her."

Vorn nodded his thanks, and moved through to the room the Doctor had mentioned, quickly finding the Cadet in the sole bed in the room. Moving over to her, he stood so that he could be easily seen without her having to move her head much.

"Cadet? I'm Captain Krace, Commander of the Iapetus." He said, a warm smile just hinting on his face. "Can you tell me who attacked you?"

Jade looked him in the eyes. "I'm not sure sir, we didn't even pick them up on sensors" Jade explained. "It was all quick, then the next thing I remembered is waking up with your doctor in the shuttle" She explained trying to recall the events.

Annalyn walked into the room and stood watching the biobed vitals signs.

"Do you remember what the ship looked like, out the view port? How big it was?" Vorn asked, hoping to get something that might help them identify the ship.

"No sir, they must have come from behind us, i only saw the console infront of me sparking out" Jade explained quietly.

Vorn rubbed his chin as he exhaled through his nose, the information he'd been given not really helping with the identification at all. It wasn't the Cadet's fault though. Perhaps the direction that they attacked from might be of some use.

"Thank you, Cadet. At this moment though, I'm afraid we don't have time to return you to the Academy, and we don't have any long-range communications, so you'll have to stay aboard for the time being. I'll make sure the quartermaster has you some quarters ready for when the doctor released you from sickbay." Vorn patted the side of the biobed, before turning and leaving the medical bay.

Annalyn nodded, "and I can help continue your studies."
