Counsiling Counselors

Mission: Dark Discoveries
Location: Chief Counselor's Office

Bradley sat in his office going over some crew files. After his small session with Captain Krace, Bradley decided to check on the other telepathic crewmembers.

Knowing that his counselor Marisa Duval was part Vulcan the aliens might have had an effect on her the same way they did on the Captain.

Hitting his comm panel Bradley spoke. "Openhouse to Duval. Can you stop by my office please. I need to perform your annual Psych Evaluation."

With a sign, Marissa put down the file she was looking over. Replying "Yes Sir." She stood and walked to his office door and knocked.

"Come in." said Bradley.

Marissa walked into the room, "You wanted to see me Sir?"

"Yes Marissa. since I have been given the position of Chief Counselor it is my duty to perform annual evaluations and I would like to begin with you since our contact with the nebula." said Bradley.

"Yes Sir, What would you like to know?"

"I need to know if you have any unusual contacts with an alien species since we encountered the nebula?" said Bradley.

Taking a seat across from the desk. "I would say I could hear then but I never felt if it was a contact, it was a constant noise in the background that was very annoying. Like there was someone beating on my shields almost constantly."

"The Captain explained it kinda like that as well." said Bradley.

"My telepathy is not very strong, there are not many people on board to practice with, and as with any ability, not using it, lessens it. I still maintain some shielding as there are loose thoughts everywhere. Until we started moving away, I had a hard time maintaining the shields."

"Was there anything out of the ordinary that happened when you felt the presence of the aliens?" asked Brad.

"It is really not ordinary that if someone is beating on shields, that when you take them down, they won't talk to you. It was as if they just kept hammering, and I had to put the shields right back up, and I had a headache for hours."

"Well I am going to check with the other telepathic species onboard and then I am going to conduct a group session were everyone can talk about their experiance." said Bradley.

"That might be good, see if anyone else has had bad experiences with this. Are we done now?

"That's it for now. Thank you Marisa. I'll see you later." said Bradley.
