Location: Iapetus Shuttlbay

Vorn stepped through the large doors into the Iapetus' spacious shuttlebay, seeing the damaged shuttle sitting in the centre of the deck. Obviously the Chief had managed to get it operational enough to get her into the shuttlebay, and Vorn had no doubt he would soon find Acle here too to see what he could gather from the computer logs, if he wasn't already.

Acle issued a slight oath as sparks shot out of the console that he was attempting to jack into. He was becoming frustrated, although by looking at his expression one would not be able to tell. This was the second console that he had tried to get into. All he needed was access to the central processing unit, which was tied into every console in the shuttle craft. Acle was about ready to try to jack into the replicator.

Acle sighed, then removed the data connection carefully, his fingers tingling slightly from residue static along the board. This shuttle appeared to have gone through hell and back.

Raging Eagle stood by, sighing carefully, "I do not know if you want to continue doing that. You are putting yourself into grave danger. What if we simply downloaded all the data from the bio-neural gel pack storage system that the shuttle previously used, and place that data into our own storage network?"

"How's it coming?" Vorn said, as he stepped through the open hatch of the damaged shuttle.

"Aye Chief, that is an idea. Better then what I am attempting to do anyway. More of a pain, but, this isn't appearing to work. Thank you." Acle said, a slightly sheepish look coming to his face. Why hadn't he thought of that? The look faded in mere moments however. Acle then moved to the other side of the shuttle, looking for the access panel.

Acle looked at the Captain briefly before replying "Slowly Captain."

Vorn nodded, understanding. "I just spoke to our Cadet passenger down in sickbay. It looks like it was a pretty swift attack, but the only thing that she could tell me was that they came at the shuttle from aft."

The Master Chief looked up, nodding in response to the Commanding Officer's words, "I understand. Is she at all well?"

Acle had pulled away an access panel, revealing the gel-pack storage circuitry underneath. Acle sat the access panel to one side and looked inside, venting a sigh. One look inside clearly showed the reason for the sigh. Almost to a pack, the circuitry inside was fried. Black marks were spread throughout the area, showing clear scorch marks where gel-packs had once existed.

Acle turned then said "It looks as if the Shuttle was hit by some sort of blast that was meant to disable, not necessarily destroy, although it still nearly did. I seriously doubt that I will be able to retrieve anything from this shuttle." Frustration was evident on Acle's face. This clear show of emotion was highly out of character for Acle.

"The cadet does not remember anything else about the attack?" he asked.

"The cadet's not going to die, right?" asked Eagle.

"The pilot was dead before you got there, but the medical Cadet is fine, she's just resting in sickbay. We don't have time to drop her off anywhere, so she'll be staying aboard for the time being." Vorn explained. "And no, she doesn't remember anything else; it seems she was knocked unconcious almost as soon as the attack begun. Probably by that." He pointed at the cross-beam that had come loose from the shuttle's ceiling.

"Anyway, I've ordered we continue our previous course as soon as warp drive is operational - though Engineering doesn't expect that to be for another few days at least. If there's nothing else you can do with this shuttle, have someone from Engineering check it over; see if it should either be repaired and added to our compliment, or scrapped, with useful components salvaged." With his orders given, Vorn turned and walked away, nodding slightly at the two men before he left.
