Taking out the Trash

Posted on Mon Sep 7th, 2009 @ 4:30pm by Lieutenant JG Lucas Jameson

Mission: Into a Devil's Heart
Location: Starbase Ronin Bar
Timeline: MD03 1845 hours

Lucas strolled into the bar. He was at Starbase Ronin waiting to be picked up for his new assignment as Chief Engineer on the USS Iapetus. Fortunately, it was a Luna class ship like the Enceladus, which meant he didn’t need to learn any new specs.

“Vodka Martini, straight up with a twist of lemon.” He said to the barman as he got to the bar.
“Sure thing.” The man said, quickly mixing up the drink before handing it over.
“Thanks.” Lucas replied, before finding an empty table and sitting at it, taking a sip of his drink as he did.

He managed to sit peacefully for about two minutes with his drink, a rare thing for him. He’d found he had a habit of getting into trouble in bars, but he loved his drinks.

“You’re in my seat, Human.” A voice with a bass tone said.

Lucas got up and turned to see a Klingon. He smirked coolly.

“Oh, well then, I’m sorry.” Lucas said cockily “I thought that shit was generally meant to be in a toilet, not a bar.”
“You would be wise not to cross me, Human.” The Klingon replied, reaching his hand behind him.
“And you’d be wise not to pull a weapon on me. I doubt you’ll find another guy who was fending for himself by age 14.” Lucas said, the smirk holding “And it’s Luc, not Human.”
“You stupid petaQ!” The Klingon said “I will do as I please, and you can do nothing about it.”
“OK, bring it on.” Lucas said, putting his middle finger up and flicking it back and forth as if to dare the Klingon.

The Klingon took the dare, and charged, pulling a d’k tahg from the back of his belt as he did. He swung the blade, with Lucas ducking under the swing before countering with a punch to the Klingon’s gut, causing the larger man to drop his weapon. Lucas proceeded to continue hitting the man before slamming his two fists down as one on the Klingon’s head, knocking him out, blood dripping from his face.

Lucas picked up his glass, finishing his drink before walking back to the bar and handing the glass over. He grinned before looking behind him and clocking a young Trill woman. He looked back to the barman and smirked.

“I’ve taken out the trash.” He said coolly “Now it’s time to get to the good part; a good hard shag with a hotty. See you around.”

At that point he walked off, putting his arm around the young woman and saying “Hey. I’m Luc. And who might you be?” before walking off with her, out of earshot of the barman, though it was obvious what he was saying, and by the looks of it, it had worked. It looked like he was going to be enjoying her company, at least for that evening.
