Mission: Into a Devil's Heart
Location: Chief Tactical & Security Officer Office [Deck 6]
Timeline: MD04 - 1600 hrs

Jordan looked the two women in the faces. Having never met his senior department officers he felt the need to greet them personally as they would take on a lot of extra responsibility with the way he planned to run his department. They stood before him at attention, he had no idea why he was having them hold that position but he did find it quite funny.

"At ease, ladies." He said, motioning for them to sit down. He caught the eye of the Junior Lieutenant who was his direct subordinate in the department. "It's a pleasure to meet you both, I'm Jordan. Don't get too much into the formalities. Only refer to me as sir if there's another superior officer around. I don't hold too much stock in the traditional formal arrangements."

"I think we can about manage that, Jordan." The younger lieutenant replied while the Trill ensign remained silent. He had read their files and was surprised to find that the lieutenant was the sister of the captain of the USS Carthage. He planned to find out more about her as time went on, not only did she seem charming, but also very beautiful.

"Pleased to hear it. Now, Lieutenant I want you to work closely with me. I realise that this is your first posting as an Assistant Chief and this is my first as a Chief so I think we can do quite well together. As for you, Ensign I've got a special place in my heart for anyone who chooses to do security investigations and therefore I'll do my very best not to meddle with your operations on ship. However I do insist on weekly reports on all activity and the opportunity to give you advice if it's particularly juicy." Jordan said with a grin.

"Indeed. I wouldn't have it any other way." Said the Trill. "I'd appreciate any assistance you could provide."

"Glad to hear it" Jordan was delighted at how the meeting had gone. He had no intention of keeping them from their duties. They had a lot to do before they reached the planet. "Dismissed."
