Custody Report

Posted on Thu Nov 19th, 2009 @ 1:30am by Captain Vorn Krace & Commander Jordan Gunning

Mission: Into a Devil's Heart
Location: USS Iapetus - Ready Room
Timeline: MD07 1749hrs

"Come," Vorn called, as the door to his ready room chirped that there was someone on the other side, awaiting entry. The fight with the Sierra was now over, and they had passed out of the nebula, having started repairs on the few systems which had been damaged in the short battle at the centre of it.

"Captain," Jordan said, coming to attention in front of the CO, "I have the report on the detention of the Sierra crew."

Vorn reached up and rubbed his eyes, already starting to feel tired in anticipation of all the paperwork he would have to do in regards to taking the crew of the rogue starship into custody. "Give me a break down, would you?"

"No problem, sir." Jordan said beginning to scroll through the contents of the PaDD. "The crew of the Sierra are being held in custody in various locations, separated from each other as much as possible. I thought it would be best to keep them away from each other in case any manage to slip away from my teams. Commander Brown is being held in the brig, pending his court martial."

"I take it you've got constant guards on the Sierra crew?" Vorn asked, making sure he had the details. "It isn't eating up too much of your man power, is it?"

"Not at all, sir. They're all under guard and I even have a team stationed at the primary junction for the control of the forcefield." Jordan allowed himself a wry grin. "I think I've got the bases covered."

"Good, good," Vorn said, almost absently, his mind obviously starting to stray to another topic after he heard the security chief's assurances. After a moment's silence, he spoke again. "Have you ever had your trust betrayed, Lieutenant?"

"Comes with the territory, sir. Unfortunately with my... abilities, it's hard for anyone to keep things from me and therefore I tend not to develop trusting relationships. I understand that the Commander has betrayed you. It must be hard."

"The conversation with him is not one that I'm looking forward to," Vorn said. He took a deep breath, and seemed to let out his worries with it. "Still, it needs to be done." He turned around to face the Lieutenant from the window where he'd been gazing during the report. "Thank you, Lieutenant. Just leave the rest of the report on my desk."

"No problem, sir." Jordan didn't want to push the Captain and left the PaDD on the corner of his desk. He turned and left the room, making his way back out onto the bridge and taking up his post. He began to monitor the interior areas of the ship where the Sierra crew were being held.
