Between Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs

Mission: Dark Discoveries
Location: Mess Hall

Abigail walked into the Mess Hall and sat down. She remembered her time with Vorn awhile ago and hoped that they could have another exciting night like that. Right now she was hoping to catch Annalyn and her ACMO in the Mess Hall and have a chat with them and see how things were going in their part of the department. Abigail knew there were three types of positions in the Science and Medical department. Science, Medicine, and Counseling. She ordered a glass of milk and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich as Abigail waited.

Annalyn moved briskly into the mess hall and ordered some lunch, then looked around to see who was in.

Bradley's stomach was starting growl as he walked down the corridor to the mess hall.

Abigail saw Annalyn and Bradly and waved to them to catch their attention and hopefully get them to join her.

As he enter he ordered a Turkey and Cheese sub with extra tomatoes and mayo. As he turned around and saw Annalyn and another woman waving for him to join them.

Abigail saw Bradly look in her direction and she knew that he had seen her wave her hand for his attention, but what about Annalyn? Had she seen the hand or was she still looking in another direction? She waited.

Annalyn saw Abigail and headed that way, she needed to drag her to sickbay for her physical.

Abigail smiled as Annalyn made her way towards her, "Hello! You must me Annalyn. The Chief Medical Officer and that must be Bradly your ACMO. I'm Abigail. The Chief Science Officer and Biologist. I am so glad to actually talk to you two after seeing so much of you, but not really knowing who you are." She laughed a little as she realized how stupid she sounded.

Annalyn put down her tray, "Yes I am, and yes that is, How are you doing today?"

"Good," Abigail replied, "This was one of the few times that I was able to get away from my station for awhile. I have to go back in about fifteen minutes, but I want to enjoy this moment for awhile longer." She smiled at Annalyn as the other woman sat down.

"I don't blame you, and I need you in sickbay at 1400 hours today for your physical. Sometimes it is nice to just sit and do nothing."

"So hows the science department treating you?" asked Bradley.

Abigail nodded to Annalyn, "I'll be there." She turned and shrugged, "Busy like it is on the rest of the ship. I miss the Lincoln, but its always nice to start fresh with a new ship. I think the Lincoln has been around for quite awhile." Abigail ordered a salad with water and a side of chicken fingers and waited for her meal. It came and she started eating. "Its always good to get quick finger foods when your on the run. So how are you two today?"

"Today has been busy, finishing up the physicals of all the new crew. We have 5 or 6 left to have everyone done for the year. Can you do some research for me?"

Abigail perked up, "What kind of research? I like shifting through things since I have to do it for my part of the department anyway." She smiled at Annalyn and knew that she and the other woman would be friends for a long time or she hoped they would.

"Dr. LaToon, Please report to sickbay. We have a medical Emergency that requires your attention." came one of the sickbay staff over the comm system.

"I need specs for a new bionic eye for someone, can you see what has happened in that area over the last year?"

"Need any help boss?" asked Bradley looking at Annalyn as she stood up to leave.

"I don't think so, enjoy your lunch. See you back in sickbay later." She left to hurry to sickbay.

Bradley finished his lunch and began to yawn. "Whew excuse me. My first night shift in sickbay is very tiring." he said to Abigail.

Abigail nodded and said, "I'll see you later for that physical. Please let me know when to be there and I will join you as quickly as I can." 'Unless of course I'm spending time with Vorn or an emergency is taking up my time,' she thought to herself.

"When ever you have free time is Ok with me. I just don't want to have to chase you down." said Bradley.

Abigail thought about it and said, "How about around 0630? I'm not busy then except for a few personal logs to write, type up some reports, look over the science equipment. Nothing interesting." 'At least not for awhile anyway. Maybe Vorn will ask to spend time with me later,' she thought to herself and kept her face blank of any emotion as she said the time.

"0630 it is then. I will see you then." said Bradley getting up. "If you will excuse me I am going to get some sleep before my shift."

Abigail dipped her head and cleared away her plate of food and left the Mess Hall. She entered her quarters and thought about sending Vorn a message to his quarters to where he could read later if he was interested. She smiled at the thought as she found herself outside her quarters so soon after leaving the Mess Hall. Abigail entered and locked her door behind her.
