Mission: Dark Discoveries
Location: USS Iapetus - Holodeck #2
Timeline: Mission Day 2 - 1710 Hours

[ON]

Raging Eagle leaned back in his chair, looking out over the room. It was dimly light, and he pulled a hat over his head. The simulation was of a 22nd century version of the crass detective story. It combined elements of a Dixon Hill style community with the events of one of Starfleet’s most influential time periods. Therefore, it had an interesting blend of both conditions.

The office itself was designed in the style common in the fourth decade of the twentieth century, looking very much like the office seen in detective stories of numerous pages. Raging Eagle’s feet were up on a desk that was fitted with green blotter paper, a lazily moving electric fan over his head. At that point, an Andorian in the uniform of the previously mentioned period, entered the room. Looking quite haggard, he started to suddenly yell out the following to the man who was playing the detective’s role in this simulation.

“Well, first of all, I do assume that I am heading with you…is this the correct assumption? Now, based on that, I should try to deliver this to you quickly. The Klingon Empire has been aiding a revolutionary group that was caused by the traditional versus non-traditional rift here. This revolutionary group holds to neither values…actually, its not quite clear what they hold steadfast too, but the Klingons have seized the opportunity to formulate total anarchy on the planet. I think you know what comes next – they move in, and it’s a colony of the Empire with a whole fresh group of slaves for that aforementioned political entity. Same story you hear everywhere.”

Throwing off his fedora suddenly, though still clad in a usual desert command Starfleet short-sleeved uniform, without the coat. He usually used this variant of the uniform for recreation for two purposes – it was comfortable, and it would not otherwise seemingly ever be used.

“Computer!” he announced

The computer gave its formal return of a so called tweedlebeep to him.

“Freeze program, save, Eagle One-Alpha-Niner.”

The senior enlisted man looked around, smiling to himself. This was going to be an interesting story once he was done with it. Too bad his time off was up just this moment. After all, he had just gotten another idea.

[OFF]

OOC: I hope to keep this off duty story going. Was there anyone who would like to join me? I had this idea that Dixon Hill from TNG could be combined with TOS/TAS style story lines. Bah, I’m such a nerd :P
