I have finished reviewing the dossier's and reports of the department that I have inherited. It is not a very big department, but, the Iapetus's main goal was never to house a score of field agents. There are currently three members, including myself, in the department.

Although the department is not large by almost any standards, I find that a huge amount of talent has been placed here.

The first member of the department, the only member not to have been recently transferred aboard in fact, is our Encryption Specialist. He is considered by many to be a genius in the field of encrypting and even more vital decrypting. His dossier lists him as a rather stable man as well, with several major accomplishments in his field. From the few times that I have been able to talk to him so far, he seems apt at his job.

The second member of the department is somewhat of an enigma to me. I have her dossier on file of course, along with the mandatory psychological assessments. I have found upon fully reading her files that she is a puzzle to even trained intelligence psychologists though. Regardless, she is very good at her job and her loyalty is without question. She will prove to be an invaluable asset to any missions that I will launch in the future, of that I have no doubt, and she has already proven her resourcefulness. It takes no small amount of courage to try to seduce someone you know has undergone advanced training, for all she could have known, I would have dismissed her right then. It remains to be seen exactly what is her driving force, but, of this I can be certain... The department will never be dull.

The third member is of course myself. I found myself going from a security grunt in the beginning to a line officer, capping with being an executive officer with a slight background in intelligence. Then I was shifted again, finding myself deep-selected for advanced intelligence training. Now I find myself back on a star ship with many of my companions of old. I trust that I will bring a lot to this team as well.

This department has the capability, regardless, or maybe rather in spite of, its size. I can truly say that I look forward to leading it.
