USS Hood [Stardate: 63075.22]

Well that time has come again. Lieutenant Junior Grade Jordan Gunning is being transferred. So long USS Hood, hello USS Iapetus. I'm not sure I'm necessarily going to miss this ship. I've never particularly fitted in here, despite my best efforts and being El-Aurian. The crew were nice enough to me but I don't think they ever quite got my sense of humour. Either that or they thought I was going to con them.

The experience was interesting I guess, I barely ever saw the Captain. He was a stickler for shift work so most of my work was done under the XO or the appointed bridge officer. Far from ideal when it comes to making an officer feel welcome.

The new ship looks like a good one. I've been sitting looking through schematics and pictures of the class for a couple of hours now, it's really quite something. One of the spectacular new vessel. I'm excited to see what she looks like on the inside.

As for me; I've been appointed Chief of Tactical & Security on the Iapetus and my new pip has been issued to me by the Quartermaster. I pretended I wasn't excited for the entire time I was waiting for it to be handed to me. When I got back to my quarters I was tempted to jump around. I managed to hold myself back.

The Hood is currently en route to a starbase in order to deposit myself and a number of other junior officers who will transfer to the Iapetus with me.
