USS Hood [Stardate: 63093.97]

[LOG BEGINS]

I have been taken off active duty on the Hood in preparation for docking with the Starbase in 32 hours. I am currently sitting amongst a plethora of assembled belongings and change uniforms.

It's recently struck me that I don't own many civilian clothes. I only own one suit which I wore during a recent trip to Casperia Prime where we were not permitted to operate in Starfleet uniform. I realise, of course, that the replicator can provide anything I need but sometimes I miss the feeling of a tailored suit, strange as that may sound.

I'm beginning to pack slowly and I realise that I have very few personal holo-images around the place. It seems rather spartan in here, something I'd never considered before. Perhaps I should be making more of an effort when I reach the Iapetus.

In fact, yes. I will. I've decided. I will make a concerted effort to be 'mister Amiable' aboard my new ship.
