Captain's Log, Supplemental

The away team and I have arrived back aboard the ship with no issues after our first meeting with Prefect De'Laan and her scientists studying the disease affecting Maltorra, and we have brought various sealed samples of the virus as well as a number of data modules on their research back with us. Though the virus samples we have brought back are all inert, hopefully it will give the medical and science teams a chance to understand a little more about what we're going to be dealing with here.

In the mean time, I've invited the Prefect to a tour of the Iapetus, and she'll be beaming up tomorrow morning - late afternoon Maltorran time, and I've asked the crew to run continuous scans of the planet's atmosphere to try and determine if there is any distinguishable weather pattern which could be affecting the spread of the virus.
