1. Launching of long range probes/life pods by the Maltor's
-Their subcontractors recovered and eliminated all but one of the pods. Which led to the subsequent arrival of the Federation vessel USS Iapetus.
- In response, the timetable of the increase in viral delivery systems have been increased.

2. As detailed in several of the initial mission planing briefs, the Maltoraans are an inquisitive and suspicious people. It would not be a matter of (if) they discover outside influences into the course of their development but more a matter of (when) they will discover them.

One of several contingencies to this would be to deflect their attention as to the true nature of the project by giving them something in which to focus their efforts on. For several months, subcontractor (locals) have been seeded information that have by themselves yielded very little if any further investigation by the natives.

However, with the arrival of (UFP) military; a lone Luna class starship, and the subsequent suppression of their arrival here on Maltoraan, we now have an ideal focus for the natives. The application of control over several regional media outlets as well as the usual political (something something), the plan has further developed a growing distrust for these interlopers (UFP) which will only serve to hinder their investigative efforts by presenting them as the possible cause for the epidemic.


3. The earlier report which included mention of a (control) area where the specimens were being used to test the most viable of anti-viral regimens has provided the project with a number of unexpected positive results.
-Anti-viral regimen (MALEX00382) has proven to eradicate all traces of the virus and the presence of antibodies in the test subjects has also been found to be a positive source for replicating additional stores of the antigen (MALEX. .)
-Local media control efforts have been seeded with misinformation that the above mentioned (control) area as the Point of Original Infection (P.O.I.) as a means to create a buffer area between the project and local investigation.

Operative note:

Although the plans appears to have entered the beginning of the final stages, the appearance of Starfleet, despite our expedited deliverable timetable, could yet prove to be the unknown factor in the ultimate success or failure of this operation.
