Mission: Into a Devil's Heart

On: Sickbay.

The med. team came back into sickbay with an unconscious Ashley, and Annalyn waved them into PR5. Following them in, she saw that Ashley was just regaining consciousness as they transferred her onto the bed. "Petty Officer, what happened."

....Ashley laid their silent for a moment, a worry look creasing across her face...

"Its nothing, I had a mental break down and it was almost all my fault. Acle wanted to ask me about Brown and what I knew, I told him everything I could remember, I thought he was going to lock me up and throw away the key for punching him reactively, so many horrible thoughts were coming into my head that, my brain over loaded. I shouted at my CIO. Oh what did I do." Ashley said shaking her head as she covered her face with her hands.

Annalyn chuckled, "Much worse than that, you threw up all over the CO, but I think he was more startled than mad. Have you ever had trouble with small places?"

"Not until Brown over powered me, drugged me, stuck me into a escape pod for 3 days, then I hear voices from outside, I didn’t know if they were pirates or Orion Slavers. I reacted like any trained Operative would. But I knew what I was doing, but I reacted instinctively. I hope everyone is alright. But the grilling Acle gave me I think sent me over the top. I broke down, being in a escape pod, where its dark, cramped, I didn’t get to use the bathroom for 3 days!. Surviving on MRE's that didn’t help. Not even out of the pod do I go from sickbay to being grilled, then back to sickbay. It was all too fast, instinctively I shut down. I think I am going to be removed from my position as a Operative. Acle doesn’t need someone like me under his command. But when I entered that room, his silence, it made me think the worst, the worst possible ways to die, and the worst and most painfully slowest way to die." Ashley said as she attempted to keep her imagination in check but she relived what happened in Acle’s office several times over instead.

“Stop that, and I am not happy about the going out of sickbay to his office, but that is not the problem here, you are. “ Annalyn could see her thoughts racing in circles. She put a barrier up in front of her thoughts.

...Ashley managed to calm down as she felt the images vanish...

"Thank you, Doctor." She said stuttering slightly. "I still cant believe Brown, when I get ahold of him....." she trailed off to let the Doctor run her scans.

"How is your stomach feeling right now."
"Its doing good, after I puked all over my Commanding officer. Am I cleared to leave to make the appropriate apologies face to face?" Ashley asked as she calmed down.

"No, I want you right here for the night, we will see how you are in the morning. You had a bad episode, and I want to be sure nothing more is messed up. Now I am going to have the nurse come take some blood, I am seeing a couple of things I don’t like, but most may be because of not having a head facility available and not enough liquid."

"Yes, Doctor. So your not against me having them come here then?, I really need to make my apologies so I don’t loose my job." Ashley said politely.

"If they will, they may come here, but you are not leaving this room until I can medically clear you, and right now that is not possible.' She walked over to the door and called a nurse to come take blood.

"Thank you." She said as she saw the nurse come over and start to take blood.

Once the nurse left, Annalyn got a pair of pj's out of a closet. "Put these on, they will be more comfortable, unless you would rather have a hospital gown?"

"Thank you, Mind if I ask what you didnt like about the scans you took?" She said as she started to derobe not caring who was around, after all she was in the medical bay, then put the PJ's on as she waited for her reply.

"Your electrolytes are messed up, lack of water, and that has upset your kidneys, and I will probably be asking for a urine sample, once i see what the blood tests show. We don't need a kidney infection starting."

"Oy, I hope not, I want to be around to punch the day lights out of Brown." Ashley said with much anger in her voice when mentioning his name.

"Been a long time ago, that a kidney infection was a death sentence, but it might require flushing and antibiotics. I will have the nurse bring in some juice and lots of ice water, drink as much as you can. You may order anything you like to eat, and there is a container to put on the head, to save any urine, so we can both test and measure as needed, so let someone know if you have to go."

"Yes, Doctor." She said laying back as she tried to figure out how best to talk to both of her CO's.

What you need now is both rest and fluids, so both will be coming." She handed Ashley the buzzer, "push this if you need anything. Tomorrow you may have access to the computer, tonight I want you to rest." She turned and left the room to start issuing orders concerning Ashley.
