Location: USS Iapetus - Ready Room
Timeline: MD3; 1145hrs

As Vorn sat in his office, reading through the final reports from both the medical and engineering departments over the happenings of the last 24 hours, he came to a final decision on what needed to be done.

=/= Lieutenants Junior LaToon and Solar. Report to my ready room. Krace out. =/= he said, as he tapped his combadge and leans back in his chair, PADD held almost absentmindedly in hand as he went over what he wanted to say.

Lamento was on a computer in engineering when he got the call. He hit his combadge and responded, =^= Yeah I’ll be right there Captain just got to finish this tiny thingy. =^= The transmission ended as he hit his combadge again in haste trying to finish the last system diagnostic scan of the ships computer mainframe.

“Now save it, hurry up damn computer” Lamento mumbled to himself. “alrighty off to the captain.

Lamento stood yup and tapped Josefien on the shoulders “Your in charge down here until I get back from the captain’s meeting and could you get the guy’s to clean up here ”Lamento said while jumping over a cable still looking at her and slipping on a wrench that was laying on the floor. “Aww!!!!!” (the following is censored)
Lamento left engineering heading to the ready room still rubbing his rear end.


Annalynn was off shift but had came into sickbay to check on the patient she had done surgery on. Hitting her comm badge. =/= Be there in just a few, Checking on a patient. =/=

Finishing checking on the patient, she teleported to her quarters to change into a fresh uniform out of the scrubs she was wearing, then teleported to a spot on the bridge and knocked on the ready room door.

Lamento entered the bridge seeing Annalynn materialise in front of him knocking on Vorn’s door. “Damn it woman” lamento though “we just this all up and running your already abusing the system. Can’t they think of us poor engineers stuck down there all day so they can have hot showers and abuse the transporter ahhhh fine, why did I get up here in the 1st place…. heuh..
Ow yeah the captain wanted to see me, but why? Wait the doctor LaToon is here, might it be they figured out that I’ve not gone to my training exercises, ahhh shit I might be in trouble. Ahhh i don't want to go now..... sigh”

Lamento looked a bit depressed as he walked to the entrance of the ready room.

"Enter!" Vorn called, as he heard the chime of the door.

Annalynn entered and went to the front of his desk.
Lamento followed her and went to stand next to her in front of the desk.

"I've been reading through the reports surrounding our mishap with the Warp Core yesterday." Vorn began. "It was utter chaos, if these reports are accurate."

"Yes I agree Captain, I still have an engineer in sickbay in serious condition, it will be a few days before he recovers.

Vorn paused for a moment, allowing the officers to voice their opinions before he continued. "I've not brought you here to berate you, however. What the both of you did, and each of your departments did, in handling the situation was commendable; and you are to be commended for it. I've entered into the ship's log that, as of today, both of you hold the rank of full Lieutenant. Additionally, Lamento; you have been awarded the Purple Heart for injuries sustained."

Vorn leans forward out of his chair and, putting the PADD face-down on the desk, picked three small boxes out from under his desk, placing them on top and sliding them across the table to their recipients.

"Congratulations, both of you, and please let your departments know of the great work that they've done." he said.

Annalyn opened the box to see the Lieutenant tabs and looked up. "Thank you sir."

Lamento made a big smile when he opened his 2 boxes and saw his new shiny Lieutenant tabs and medal. “Thanks captain this is quiet a honour.”

"Now go on, both of you. Dismissed."

Annalyn Grinned, "Aye Sir," as she got to her feet and left the room to return to sickbay.
