Chief of Security & Tactical's Personal Log.
I am recording this on the planet Bevrud. The Captain, Commander Brown, Doctor Balmorra and myself are here to aid negotiations with the Bevrudl over a number of issues they have with the Federation.
My misgivings about this mission are being more than assured by the presence of representatives of the Elyshan Empire. We're assured by our hosts that this is in order to maintain peaceful and civil relations between both parties but given the political tensions that currently exist between the Federation and the Empire, I'm surprised they would be so short-sighted as to have us all sitting around the same table.
Hell knows if the Bevrud think they're going to broker some sort of mutual understanding between ourselves and the Elyshans. They'd be lucky.
As for my companions on the away team, I'm beginning to think I'm being victimised. Anyone who knows me, even the Captain knows that I am not some trigger-happy security officer who'd rather see walls with phaser burns on them than paintings. Frankly, I'm beginning to think that Commander Brown, a man I'd claim to be far more 'gung-ho' than I'd ever come close to being and Doctor Balmorra might have something against me.
Can't wait to find out what I've done.
