Mission: The Fate of the Swiftsure
Location: USS Iapetus, Drekasta System
Timeline: MD18 1102hrs

As the Iapetus came out of warp, various consoles around the bridge bleeped a trio of tones in warning, alerting the crew - as if they weren't already - that there were large asteroids in close proximity.

"Helm" Acle called out, "Evasive Maneuvers. Keep us away from those rocks and guide us to a safe area on the skirts of the asteroid field."

"These few must be asteroids which have gone rouge," Krace said, leaning over to speak to his First Officer. "They must have been hit by a comet or other asteroid and adopted a more irregular and wider orbit from the star."

Acle nodded, watching the viewscreen as the ship gracefully arced around the asteroids.

As the ship was maneuvered around the few stray rocks and into a region of open space, Vorn turned slightly to speak to his second officer. "Raise shields and bring us to yellow alert. Run full sensor sweeps of the system every ten minutes, and get your teams ready for away team duties."

"Got it." Jordan responded, bringing the Iapetus to alert readiness with one deft swish of his hand. He pressed his comm badge lightly. "Gunning to Security, arm up and get ready to go. I want a forty five second response time. Nothing less."

Krace stood, "Number one, you have the bridge." he said before turning to the ready room to one side.

"Aye Aye Captain, I have the bridge." Acle acknowledged.
