Mission: The Fate of the Swiftsure
Location: Level Zeta-Alpha - The Space Station
Timeline: MD08

[ON]

Gunning managed to load the information into an interface terminal and pulled the pertinent details onto his PADD. "Right, I think I've got what we need. It looks like we need to head to Section Thirty Nine but it doesn't show on the station schematics. Typical."

"We'll just have to get creative, then," Sara adds, peering over the PADD. "Let's take a look at the station floorplans compared to the outer structure." Pressing some commands, the display adjusts to show an overlay of the station based on scans from the shuttle. As Sara had expected, there were several sections of the station hull that did not show up on the schematics. "You said so yourself, it looked like the station had sections of other ships added to it. It looks to me like the station is an evolving entity, gaining new sections as hulls are acquired." She gestured to a few areas that were unmarked. "These schematics are probably out of date. I bet one of these areas is Section Thirty Nine."

"That makes sense but we should be careful." Gunning said, checking the settings on his hand phaser. "There's nothing to say that the Section is going to be accessible and if it is, there's nothing to say they're going to be happy to see us."

Sara checks the settings on her own phaser. "Please, Commander. Remember who you're talking to. Careful is my middle name."

"Pretty weird middle name." Jordan replied playfully. "Come on, the lift's down this way."

With phaser in hand, Sara led the way to the lift, watching carefully for anyone that appeared threatening or out of place. Soon they would be essentially off the map, making it that much easier for them to be ambushed. She was an intelligence officer, and she never liked going into places that she didn't know more about.

Jordan stood quietly next to Archer. The whir of the lift didn't give much away beyond their downwards momentum. He took a deep inhale of breath, trying to poise himself for whatever was down there. A sharp, bitter taste caught the back of his throat. It was like it was enveloping him. His eyes began to bulge against his lids as he tried to look round.

Archer had already collapsed to her knees, mentioning the fact that they were being gassed would have been something of a moot point, even if he could bring himself to talk. He hit the ground.

As the air began to waver in front of the two Starfleet officers, the doors to the lift opened smoothly to reveal two figures, clad in long hooded and sleeveless cloaks, with boxy re-breather equipment fastened over the lower half of their faces.

"That was easy," one of the pair commented to the other through his mask, as the officers slipped into unconsciousness. "I'd have expected them to put up more of a challenge."

"Just be happy that it wasn't. Did you really feel like wrestling with that guy? Course, from what we were told, that women might have actually been worse."

Each man grabbed the shoulders of an officer, and began dragging them out of the lift and into the corridor, where a two-shelved trolley-cum-gurney had been stationed. It took both of them to lift the male onto the thing, though the female was considerably lighter.

"You sure we can't just ransom these two off?" the first man asked, as the pair both began pushing the trolley down the otherwise deserted corridors.

"Just stick to the plan" the second man said. "Or it will be our asses on the line." he said, pushing just a little faster to get down the corridor.
